La Pérégrination vers l’ouest raconte le voyage en Inde du bonze Xuanzang accompagné de personnages fantastiques dont le roi des singes. Le récit se passe à l’époque des Tang (618-907) mais le roman a été écrit sous les Ming à la fin du XVI ème siècle.
Journey to the West tell the story of the bonze Xuanzang ‘s travel in India. He is accompanied by fantastical figures included the monkey king. The action takes place during the Tang dinasty (618-907) but the book was written during the Ming dinasty at the end of sixteenth century.

J’ai dévoré avec jubilation le roman « au bord de l’eau ». J’ai commencé « Le rêve dans le pavillon rouge » mais j’ai abandonné avant la fin du premier volume. Les personnages sont tellement nombreux qu’on s’y perd un peu. Les deux autres romans manquent à ma culture.
I gleefully devoured the novel « water margin ». I began to read « Dream of the Red Chamber» but I gave up before the end of the first book. There are so many figures that you get lost. The two other novels do not yet part of my knowledge.
