Liu Mei est infirmière dans un hôpital. Après son divorce elle vit avec son fils Liu Xing. Par la suite, Xia Donghai et Liu Mei tombent amoureux et forment une nouvelle famille.
Cette histoire se passe donc dans une famille recomposée.
