Les dictionnaires visuels sont des dictionnaires thématiques qui présentent des photos ou des dessins pour chaque mot. Visual dictionaries are thematic dictionaries which show photos or pictures for each word. 视觉词典是为了给每个词加插图或者照片的词典。
J’utilise le dictionnaire chinois-anglais édité par DK (Dorling Kindersley book). Avec chaque image il fournit la traduction en anglais, le caractères chinois et la transcription en pinyin. Il existe aussi des dictionnaires visuels en ligne comme celui réalisé par le centre d’études linguistiques de l’université de Yale. Il propose 1000 mots avec les caractères chinois, le pinyin et un enregistrement avec une voix masculine et une voix féminine. Je saisi l’opportunité pour lui faire écouter la symphonie pastorale de Beethoven, pour le relaxer un peu. Il accepte ma proposition, et entre dans mon jeu. Un mouvement de pastorale plus tard, je lui pose la même question, il me répond spontanément : ——“Je ne comprend pas bien le sens de cette musique …” Quelques jours plus tard je répétais l’expérience. Retenir le vocabulaire est une des tâches les plus difficile dans l’apprentissage du chinois. To remember vocabulary is one of the most difficult tasks in learning Chinese language. 在中文学习中最难的任务是记住生词。
Comme je l’ai déjà dit, les listes de vocabulaire comme celles qu’on utilise dans l’apprentissage habituel des langues étrangères ne fonctionnent pas pour le chinois. On ne peut pas apprendre une liste de 40 mots nouveaux d’un seul coup. As I have already mentioned, vocabulary lists like those we usually use to learn others languages do not work for chinese. It is not possible to learn 40 new words at once. 我已经说过，生词表里我们要学习的日常用语不能作为语言直接使用。我们不能一下子记住40个生词。
J’ai expérimenté une nouvelle méthode depuis peu. Chaque jour j’apprends 5 mots chinois. Cela peut paraître ridiculement peu, mais au bout d’un an cela fait un total de 1825 mots ajoutés aux quelques 1000 mots que je connais déjà cela donne une base tout à fait raisonnable. I have lately tested a new method. I learn everyday only 5 Chinese words. It may seem ridiculously few, but at the end of the year it reaches a total amount of 1825 words added to the 1000 words or so that I already know, quite an acceptable basis. 我尝试一个新的办法。每天我只学习5个生词。你可能觉得是很少，但是一年以后这一共是1825个词。加上1000个我已经掌握的词，其实很不错。
Chaque soir je fais une fiche avec 5 mots nouveaux que j’ai rencontré dans la journée, je les écrits et les prononce plusieurs fois. Et le lendemain matin au réveil, sans regarder la fiche je me récite mentalement et j’écris avec le doigt chacun de ces 5 caractères. Every evening I write a form with 5 new words I have come across during the day, I wrote them and speak out several times. Je pense que pour que ce soit efficace il faut prendre des mots qu’on a rencontrés dans leur contexte. Chacun devra se constituer ses propres fiches. I think the most efficient way is to choose new words that we came across in their proper context. Each of us will have to write its own forms. 我觉得选择生词最好根据它们的背景。每个人需要写自己的卡片。
