For all of us at elementary level, our biggest problem is to learn new words and to be able to memorise them. We all know 500 or 600 characters or even a little more, but we have a lot of difficulties to stabilize those supplementary characters.
对于我们中级水平的外国学生学汉语来说，最大的困难是学习和牢记生词。我们具有500，600字左右，也许还多一点，可是我们却很难再对应额外的生字。
Ces nouveaux caractères n’apparaissent qu’une fois ou deux dans les textes étudiés et on n’arrive pas à se les approprier. En lisant des textes plus longs les mots nouveaux apparaissent plusieurs fois et on fini par les mémoriser.
Those new characters appear only once or twice in the lesson and we are not able to appropriate them. Reading longer text, the new words will come out more frequently and we can at the end of the day remember then.
在学过的文章中这些生字只出现了一次或者两次，然而我们还没有真正地掌握。如果我们读更长的文章，新生字出现的频率多了，我们就可以把它们在记下来。
Le problème est de trouver des textes qui comportent un vocabulaire de 2000 à 3000 mots, c'est-à-dire peu par rapport à des vrais textes de journaux ou des articles que l’on peut trouver sur Internet mais beaucoup plus que les manuels débutants ou intermédiaires édités en France.
The question is to find some texts with a vocabulary of 2000 to 3000 words, which is very little in comparison with newspapers’ articles or texts found on the web, but which is far bigger than what we can find in beginners or intermediates’ textbooks published in France.
问题是可以找到2000，3000词的文章。也就是说关于报纸或者网站上面的很少，不过还是比在法国供初级或中级学习者使用手册中的多。
Il faut en plus que les textes soient intéressants. J’ai remarqué qu’on retenait beaucoup mieux le vocabulaire sur les sujets qui nous intéressent. Je n’arrive plus à retenir quoi que ce soit avec des phrases de manuels du genre « Le grand livre rouge de mon grand-père paternel est sur la petite table qui est à côté de l’armoire verte. » (qu’est-ce que vous voulez que ça me fasse !).
In addition the text should present some interest. I have notice that I remember far better the vocabulary on topics I am interested in. I cannot learn anything with the phrases of some textbook like : “The big red book of my paternal grandfather is on the small table next to the green cupboard”. (I really don’t care!)
另外，文章应该选有意思的。我发现我在有意思的文章中记生词效果很好，可是没有意思的我就记不住了，比方说这样的句：“我爷爷的大红书是在绿橱柜旁边的小桌子上。”（我不在乎啊！）

Dans une ville du sud de la Chine se trouve une rue nommée « rue des Ailanthes ». La fête du printemps s’approchait, on commençait à préparer la fête. En Chine, la fête du printemps est la fête la plus importante. Elle se situe en janvier ou en février. La fête du printemps s’appelle aussi la fête du nouvel an. Pour le nouvel an, les chinois aiment manger du poisson.
Les gens aiment manger du poisson parce que les mots « poisson » et « excédent » se prononcent de la même façon. « toute l’année il y aura du poisson » peut se comprendre « toute l’année il y aura de tout en excédent ». Cela signifie que la vie sera prospère, qu’il y aura de l’argent, que tout ira bien. Les gens aiment manger du poisson pour le nouvel an parce qu’ils espèrent que la nouvelle année leur apportera de l’argent et que leur conditions de vie seront bonnes.
In a village of south China there is a street called Tree of Heaven‘s street. Spring festival was approaching, people was preparing the festival. In China, Spring festival is the most important festival. It happens in January or in February. Spring festival is also called New Year's Day. For new year’s day, people like to eat fish. People like fish because the word fish and spare have the same pronunciation. “All the year there will be fish” can be understood as “all the year there will be spare”. This means that life will be easy, plenty of money, everything fine. People like to eat fish for New Year ’s Day because they hope that the new year will bring them money and they hope that their living conditions will be fine.
